Rafoxanide is a poent, orally active halogenated salicylaniline agent with antiparasitic activity. Rafoxanide can be used for the control of infestation with Hemonchus species and Fasciola species in sheep and cattle and Estrus ovis in sheep. Rafoxanide interferes with energy metabolism in trematodes by uncoupling oxidative phosphorylation. Rafoxanide eliminates 91-99% of the mature flukes and 50-90% of the younger flukes in ruminants [1] [2] [3] .
