Summary

2-Nitrophenyl β-D-glucopyranoside is a substrate for β-glucosidase. 2-Nitrophenyl β-D-glucopyranoside can be used to test β-glucosidase activity ^[1] ^[2] .

In Vitro

Purified β-glucosidase from Cellulomonas biazotea has an apparent K _m and V for 2-Nitrophenyl β-D-glucopyranoside of 0.416 mM and 0.22 U/mg protein, respectively ^[1] .
