Methyl 5-hydroxypyridine-2-carboxylate is a phenolic acid that can found in the stems of Mahonia fortune . Methyl 5-hydroxypyridine-2-carboxylate exhibits NO inhibitory effects in vitro [1] .


In Vitro

Methyl 5-hydroxypyridine-2-carboxylate (compound 2) inhibits NO in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 and BV2 cells, with IC 50 s of 115.67 and 118.80 μM, respectively [1] .
Methyl 5-hydroxypyridine-2-carboxylate (6.25-200 μM) does not exhibit any cytotoxic effect [1] .
