Summary

TMV-IN-4 (compound 3) is a tobacco mosaic virus ( TMV ) inhibitor that effectively induces resistance and enhances plant tolerance to TMV infection by interacting with TMV helicase. TMV-IN-4 enhances peroxidase and superoxide dismutase activity, thereby increasing resistance to TMV in tobacco ^[1] .

In Vitro

TMV-IN-4 (compound 3) (20 μM) shows significant anti-TMV activity against the host plant N. glutinosa leaf, with an inhibition rate of 58.5% and an IC ₅₀ value of 19.6 μM. It also shows that pretreatment with compound 3 can increase the resistance of N. glutinosa to TMV infection ^[1] .
