Summary

Cortagine is a specific corticotropin-releasing factor receptor subtype 1 (CRF1) agonist with an IC ₅₀ of 2.6 nM for rCRF1. Cortagine is an anxiolytic and antidepressive drug in the mouse model ^[1] .

IC50 & Target

IC50: 2.6 nM (rCRF1) ^[1]

In Vitro

Cortagine inhibits rCRF1 (EC ₅₀ =0.18 nM) and mCRF _2β (EC ₅₀ =16 nM) in transfected HEK-293 cells ^[1] .

In Vivo

Cortagine (30, 100, 300 ng; i.c.v.) significantly decreases the percent time spent in the open arms and number of open arm entries of the elevated plus-maze (EPM) test in nine-week-old male C57BL/6J mice ^[1] .
