SMIFH2 inhibits stress fiber contractility in living and permeabilized REF52 cells. SMIFH2 inhibits centripetal movement of myosin 2 filaments in living and permeabilized HFF cells. SMIFH2 inhibits activity of myosin ATPase and the ability to translocate actin filaments in the gliding actin.
