Description

Sodium metatungstate (SMT) solution is an inorganic heavy liquid which is widely used in density fractionation. Sodium metatungstate (Sodium polyoxotungstates) is a potent and selective inhibitor of with Ki of 0.140 μM, 0.910 μM and 0.563 μM for NTPDase1, NTPDase2 and NTPDase3, respectively.

In vitro

Sodium metatungstate, a inhibitor of CD39, can partially reverse the suppression of CD8[H] T cells induced by the presence of peritoneal macrophage.
